This conference seeks to inform the public of the challenges and opportunities that women in the Middle East and North Africa face today amid the events of the Arab Awakening. Participants will propose recommendations for empowering women in the region and developing leadership opportunities.
The conference will also feature panel discussions on women in social media and journalism, women in entrepreneurship, and women in politics and social activism.
If you are unable to attend the conference but would like to participate in the discussion, tweet your questions to @lebasik. We will be accepting submissions through Feb. 19, 2013, and will select some to be read during the question-and-answer sessions during the event.
