Researchers at Rice University are examining how scientists around the world view social influences on science. The “Religion Among Scientists in International Context (RASIC)” research initiative, the largest international survey of scientists ever undertaken, investigates how scientists understand the relationship between science and religion and how religion influences their research agendas, daily interactions with students, and ethical decisions and discussions. This event will include a brief presentation on the results of the study from the U.K. and India. For more information see www.siic.rice.edu.

Remarks by Elaine Howard Ecklund, Autrey Professor of Sociology, Director of the Religion and Public Life Program, and Baker Institute Scholar, Rice University
