On taxes, Obama sticks to much of Bush playbook

Despite President Barack Obama's assertion that Gov. Mitt Romney's tax plan is a return to the failed policies of the George W. Bush administration, the president's tax plan is more similar to the Bush-era policies, while Romney proposes to enact a tax reform similar to the bipartisan plan put forth by the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (the debt commission).
