The American Drug Use Dashboard is an interactive tool that lets users explore data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health, which provides estimates of substance use at the national, state, and substate levels. Originally created by Brian C. Bennett in 2002 and maintained by the Baker Institute Drug Policy Program, these charts trace patterns in individual drug use over past decades. The findings provide a more accurate and illuminating picture of drug use than is typically presented in popular media or reflected in U.S. drug policies.
