The Child Health Policy Program partners with a wide range of entities and works closely with community partners on research, policy recommendations, implementation and evaluation. A community-based participatory research approach (CBPR) was used in several of the program’s projects. Through a CBPR approach, community members and stakeholders are involved in every step of the research process, yielding data and results that are most relevant to identified challenges and initiatives, and ensuring that research is action-oriented.
Below are images from an art installation at Project Row Houses that used data from the neighborhood needs assessment survey of the Third Ward. The installation was a collaboration between former Child Health Policy Program research associate Zeinab Bakhiet, Olutomi Subulade and Melanie Meleekah Villegas.
