On Aug. 29, 2024, Rice University’s Baker Institute Center for Energy Studies partnered with the Energy Institute at the University of Oklahoma’s Price School of Business and hosted “Energy and the Intersection of Technology, Markets, and Policy.” The conference convened subject matter experts from academia, industry, and government for a robust set of discussions around emerging technologies, pathways to implementation, and potential impacts. The dynamic nature of recent energy-focused legislation and Supreme Court decisions, among other subjects, intersected these discussions at multiple points.

The event featured posters of graduate student research, where students engaged with participants on the practical application of their research.
