Biography
Robert Barron is a contributing expert at the Edward P. Djerejian Center for the Middle East. He is also a program officer with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict program at the U.S. Institute of Peace (USIP), where he manages a portfolio of policy research, conflict analysis and civil society projects. Prior to joining USIP in 2018, Barron served as policy assistant to the director of the Baker Institute, where he managed and contributed to the institute’s research on the Middle East and was part of the executive leadership team. He worked in Cairo as a journalist and editor from 2015-16 and in economic development in 2014. Barron holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas A&M University.
