Avery Franklin is a media relations specialist for the Baker Institute and part of Rice’s Office of Public Affairs. In this capacity, she serves as the institute’s primary media contact. She helps promote the research, events, and expertise of the institute to the public.

Prior to joining Rice, Franklin worked at multiple public relations and advertising agencies. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Communications from Texas Christian University.
