Biography

Giovanna Marciano is the director of finance of the Baker Institute. She manages the annual revenues and expenses of the institute in close coordination with research centers and programs. She also serves as the institute liaison with the university budget office and controller’s office. Marciano oversees the institute's pre- and post-award research operations. Prior to joining the institute in 2010, Marciano worked as senior budget manager for an Italian telecommunications company in New York City.

Marciano earned a bachelor’s degree in international economics from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business.
