Stephen Jones is the financial specialist at the Baker Institute. He works closely with the director of finance, translating financial data into actionable information for budgeting decisions. Jones analyzes budgets and prepares monthly reconciliation files for the institute. In addition to assisting research administrators with daily financial operations, he is proficient in Rice University’s Oracle-based ERP system.

Prior to joining the institute, Jones worked as a financial aid professional at Texas A&M University. He brings over seven years of accounting, finance, and bookkeeping experience to the institute.

Jones graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Sam Houston State University.
